Perfect Vegan Smoothie Recipe

Have you ever made a smoothie that made you want to throw it out immediately? Yeah, I have too.

 

 

It took me a really long time to discover the perfect combination of nutrition and good taste in a smoothie but through thorough investigation, I’m happy to report I can give you the golden recipe.

 

Before we begin, we need to know the key ingredients. The four main ingredients are protein, fat, fiber, and greens! But it doesn’t have to look boring or the same every single day. Below I’m going to give you a standard recipe and note where you can swap and make changes for an incredible tasting daily smoothie!

 

Drinking a smoothie in the morning helps to reset your digestion, absorb nutrients better in the morning, and give you the fuel you need to turn off your hunger hormones and have a kick butt day!

 

Basic Smoothie Recipe:

2-4 cups greens

1-3 servings of fruit

1 TBSP protein

1-2 tsp fiber

1-2 tsp fat

½-1 cup liquid

Ice if desired

 

Now here is my typical version with some added in zest. 

 

My Smoothie Recipe

1-2 TBSP alkaline greens powder

1-2 bananas

1 serving of berries or other in season fruit

1 tsp cacao powder

1 TBSP peanut butter

1 tsp flax seeds

1 TBSP Tropeka vanilla lean protein powder

1 tsp Tropeka maca powder

½ cup chocolate soy or almond or cashew milk + added water if needed

 

I play around with this smoothie and sub out different nut butters, fruit, or take out the chocolate. But overall, with a smoothie like the one above, you’re going to be fully, satisfied, and energized all morning long!
