9%: My Journey To Losing Stubborn Body Fat
I have never been a “small” person. It use to really upset me but then I realized too important things. 1. I could shape my body how I wanted at the gym and I fell in love with it. 2. I loved being what has been called “fit thick”.
I am not overweight but I have a much higher body fat percentage than I want. The number on the scale, or our weight, is not telling of how much body fat we actually have. I could be very low weight but have a high body fat.
So for the sake of being #real, I am going to be sharing all of the nitty gritty details of my journey to losing body fat and being as honest and open as I can with you about it. So let’s get into it.
My Current Stats:
- 144 pounds
- 30% body fat
- BMR: 1,400 calories
- 135-ish (again this is less significant to me than the body fat)
- 21-22% body fat
- BMR: 1,500
- Be stronger than ever before
What I’m Doing:
- Added in 1 personal training session a week
- Going to the gym 4-5 times a week
- Creating a plan with a nutritionist at the gym
- Drinking 60-100 oz. of water with ACV
- Adding in cardio daily (10-20 minutes)
- De-stress (high cortisol makes you hold onto fat)
I will be updating you weekly onm y 9% journey. I am a bit nervous as I haven’t really been able to lose weight in over 3 years. I can teach others how but my body wants to hold onto it it seems. I will be doing this in a sustainable + healthy way with no drastic changes or crazy diets. I want to hold myself accountable so I’m sharing my journey with you! My hope is that in 3 months I can be down by the 9% or maybe in even less time.
